In Monday's class we were talking about Internet Addition, and the professor explained Wish Statements Grammar on page 14.
On the other hand he clarified the Wish that we will use is not this one:
- I wish you a happy birthday or I wish you a marry Christmas. (X)
That's why he wrote examples on the board so we can understand better the grammar. Here are some of them and their meanings.
"I wish I had a car " It means that you don't have a car, but you want one.
"he wishes he spoke Chinese" He doesn't speak Chinese.Basically you write the verb in past but the idea is in present.
We also talked about the TO BE USED TO= something that you do everyday (habit/present). For instance: I am used to working= it means that you work everyday.
