Unit 6: Spiritual Renewal

Spiritual Renewal 


Personally, I think this has been a very good unit, which was based on religious aspects which were of great importance. Basically, this unit was about a type of holy or spiritual feeling in all religions. It goes beyond good and about the awakening of a person self awareness.

In my personal opinion, I would say that  spirtitual renewal means something like, finding your inner self, or inner happiness. Also, I think that spiritual renewal is to live in God's favor, this means to became a new person and to follow God. I know that God has something really beautiful for us. He has a new beginning, and he will remove from your heart unnecessary things that are not making you happy.

Nothing to Hide  As we finished covering the former unit titled Honesty is the Best Policy, a French movie named Nothing to Hide (Le Jeu) suddenly  came to my mind. The film’s plot involved a group of old friends who gathered one evening for a dinner party. Things soon got out of hand after they decide to play a game that consisted in surrendering their cellphones, and placing them in the center of the dinner table, so as to allow all of them equal access to each other’s incoming calls and messages as proof that none of them had nothing to “hide” or conceal from each other. Unit 2. Honesty is the Best Policy.

There are many reasons why people lie, but all those reason end up wit the same goal: to get something in their favor.  We all have lied at a certain point in our life, to get a job, to convince someone of something, to run away with murder, and so on. The Tipping Point According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, a tipping point is " the critical point in a situation, process, or system beyond which a significant and often unstoppable effect or change takes place ". With this said, I think globalization has proven to be one of the most remarkable tipping points in worldwide history as it has had a tremendous effect in world economy, education, ideologies, health, and several other aspects of humanity.  For instance, it has made countries depend upon each other for sustaining their economy (e.g. tourism, petroleum, etc.) and also through free trade treaties.
