Unit II

Honesty is the best policy.

To start my comment about this unit which is very interesting for me, because honesty is a very important value, and because of that i am going to begin giving a definition about what is honesty from my perspective.
From my point of view, honesty is a quality that human being possesses to always tell the truth and be loyal to others.
But if everyone would have been honest, the world could’ve been better, but unfortunately, it’s not like that, because there are a lot of people that are dishonest and always are lying to other people and even to themselves sometimes. 
Something that I think is that some people lie or are dishonest not because they want to be, they do it sometimes to protect others, to get a reward, even to get other people or their own family attention.  Also people lie or are dishonest to void being punished, because lies are term of solution for some people.

The Bold and the Bashful         The content of this unit reminded me of a time I was considered shy and introverted. I also particularly remember being  misattributed  of having an  aloof  personality by many of my classmates in middle school and high school. The Tipping Point

The Tipping Point According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, a tipping point is " the critical point in a situation, process, or system beyond which a significant and often unstoppable effect or change takes place ". With this said, I think globalization has proven to be one of the most remarkable tipping points in worldwide history as it has had a tremendous effect in world economy, education, ideologies, health, and several other aspects of humanity.  For instance, it has made countries depend upon each other for sustaining their economy (e.g. tourism, petroleum, etc.) and also through free trade treaties. Unit 6: Spiritual Renewal

Spiritual renewal refers to practices or intends to get closer to the divine practices including fasting, praying, meditating, among others. This is not a new practice, it has been among us during centuries. All religions seek spiritual renewal, but their motivations are not always the same. For example, in fasting, we find that some religions do it to get spiritual discipline (episcopalianism), some others to get away from materialism (judaism), and others do it do to preserve their ancient traditions.It does not matter the reason why we seek to be renewed spiritually, what matters is that we all have the internal need to seek it.
