Unit 6, Spiritual Renewal


                                                                " Spiritual Renewal" 

 As I could read, I can say that  spiritual  renewal refers to the fact of rebirth or rejuvenation of our spirit through meditation or some religious practices. That is like saying that although we are aging on the outside, we are "rejuvenating" inside. But it doesn’t mean becoming immature,  I must say it is more about the age of the spirit (Rejuvenation), but on the other hand, mature, it is consider as perfection. Moreover, I think “Spiritual Renewal” is a resource that God gives to each one in the world, I mean that you  may confess yours imperfections or the bad things you have done in your life and would receive forgiveness from God, as Christian people say “ You are a new creature”. Even, you can prevent temptations, release your frustrations and breathe out your exhaustion. That’s the way in which the Holy Spirit can purify you and comfort you.

About Unit 3: The Bold and the Bashful

The Bold and the Bashful         The content of this unit reminded me of a time I was considered shy and introverted. I also particularly remember being  misattributed  of having an  aloof  personality by many of my classmates in middle school and high school. However, later I understood this was simply because I did not share most interests or hobbies with them; therefore, while it might sound a bit  condescending , I just did not make any efforts to be on their good side, or seek for their friendship as I found it pointless. Nonetheless, I did get to build great friendships with a few  kindred souls  along my formative years with whom, to this date, I feel comfortable and content around and can talk about pretty much everything. Unit 6: Spiritual Renewal

Spiritual renewal refers to practices or intends to get closer to the divine practices including fasting, praying, meditating, among others. This is not a new practice, it has been among us during centuries. All religions seek spiritual renewal, but their motivations are not always the same. For example, in fasting, we find that some religions do it to get spiritual discipline (episcopalianism), some others to get away from materialism (judaism), and others do it do to preserve their ancient traditions.It does not matter the reason why we seek to be renewed spiritually, what matters is that we all have the internal need to seek it.
