UNIT 7: WORKPLACE PRIVACY

The issue of privacy in the workplace today is the cause of much disappointment and scandal, as it has been lost in companies almost entirely. A world of work where employees must be constantly monitored for care or internal management and where the respect of the personal has been lost more and more, we are facing today.

If we look at it from the work environment and as they think the top levels and bosses, they only think that is for the preservation of the security of enterprises, and the safety of the employee, but the problem is the immoral and disrespectful extremes that are being reached. The more technology advances the more tools for control and invasion of privacy there are.

Some examples of these: They monitor the employees all day through cameras in all possible spaces, they observe them through the cameras of the computers or laptops, they have access to all the private accounts of the employees because they also have hackers trained for all this type of work, they also intersect calls and they can listen to them when they want and the worst of all that the same employees sometimes never get to know about these things.

Security in companies is good, but everything in its proper measure, without being extremists and provided that it is with the consent and also under exceptions that allow employees some privacy in their lives.
