Honesty is the best policy!

Honesty is one of the greatest values, but sadly the current leaders of our society lack of it. Our nation is going through a historical situation since our senators and representatives have committed innumerable crimes. In their campaigns, they lie and promise countless things, after getting the power, what they actually do, is to steal as much as possible to benefit themselves, their family, also acquaintances, giving them superficial positions. As a result, they even get paid high sums of money without working. This, they don’t carry out any of the promises they made in their campaigns, instead devote themselves to take bribes, and whenever possible mistreat the people, putting taxes in everything. To my mind, they don’t know the meaning of the word honesty, which is the quality of being honest: free of deceit; truthful and sincere. They do not fulfill the nation expectations by any means, that is the reason why, we are tired and want honest people to guide our nation.🇩🇴

Nothing to Hide  As we finished covering the former unit titled Honesty is the Best Policy, a French movie named Nothing to Hide (Le Jeu) suddenly  came to my mind. The film’s plot involved a group of old friends who gathered one evening for a dinner party. Things soon got out of hand after they decide to play a game that consisted in surrendering their cellphones, and placing them in the center of the dinner table, so as to allow all of them equal access to each other’s incoming calls and messages as proof that none of them had nothing to “hide” or conceal from each other. As the game progressed many unexpected and shocking secrets began to emerge exposing their dishonest behavior, leaving them all in the midst of irreparable conflicts and chaos. Unit 2. Honesty is the Best Policy.

There are many reasons why people lie, but all those reason end up wit the same goal: to get something in their favor.  We all have lied at a certain point in our life, to get a job, to convince someone of something, to run away with murder, and so on. Those pretty lies are seen like something that are fine and like if they are not going to cause any damage but that is not always true, some lies can bring really bad consequences. The Tipping Point

The Tipping Point According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, a tipping point is " the critical point in a situation, process, or system beyond which a significant and often unstoppable effect or change takes place ". With this said, I think globalization has proven to be one of the most remarkable tipping points in worldwide history as it has had a tremendous effect in world economy, education, ideologies, health, and several other aspects of humanity.  For instance, it has made countries depend upon each other for sustaining their economy (e.g. tourism, petroleum, etc.) and also through free trade treaties.
