Spiritual Renewal First of all, I am going to tell you what Spiritual Renewal is about. Spiritual Renewal is when you feel good with yourself and you practice small daily rituals, spending time alone in a beautiful place, while praying and fasting for something you really want. So, many people in Dominican Republic go to the Cathedral, or go to any place where they feel very good, in my case when I need to feel relax, I go to any place where I can here the wind, the birds and see the beauty of nature, also talking to God makes me feel comfortable, happy, healthy, and satisfied.

  Since we start running the race to get our first job, we unconsciously begin to provide our personal information and giving up our privacy. It begins in the recruitment process, in which we are required to authorize employers to dig into the details of our lives. Hence, the human resources department can make sure they have the profile they are looking for the position available. Employers check on from our health condition to our financial status before deciding if you deserve a place in their companies. As applicants, most of the time in need, we do not pay enough attention to all this, as we are just focused on getting the job. As a result, we agree to share our information and even to use it for further purposes.   However, when we become part of the workforce is when we lose our privacy, and our lives begin to be part of the company's matters.               The Internet Addiction Do you play video games on the Internet in excess?   Are you compulsively shopping online?   Can’t physically stop checking Facebook?   Is your excessive computer use interfering with your daily life   relationships, work school?   If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be suffering from Internet addition Disorder, also commonly referred to as Compulsive Internet use, Problematic Internet use, or disorder.   Originally debated as a “real thing,” it was satirically theorized as a disorder, who compared its original model to pathological gambling. Since this hoax of sorts, the disorder has rapidly gained ground and has been given serious attention from many researchers, mental health counselors, and doctors as a truly debilitating disorder.   However, some reports suggest it affects more people than you think.

Talking about workplace privacy and all kinds of surveillance and monitoring we are exposed to, here I attached a screenshot of my personal computer being used by my company's computer profiles. I work as a supervisor for a BPO company, my daily duties are but not limited to listening to my employee's calls, monitor their breaks and lunches, and anything that they are doing during their shift, all their login and log out punches on the paying tool. People might think it is wrong but most of the time employees are just not being honest when it comes to talking about getting paid.

Feng shui means wind and water. In the ancient times, Feng Shui only existed in China, but now it exist in west: Europe and America.  Feng shui uses energy forces to harmonize people with the environment to have peace in their souls. It helps them decorate their homes and their offices to have harmony round them. Feng shui connects their souls with spiritual to achieve love, prosperity, energy, joy, health, etc.

Workplace Privacy              As I was further researching the governing topic of unit 7, I came across this short yet concise YouTube video on workplace privacy and employee monitoring policy found specifically in North Carolina’s law in the United States of America. I happen to think that this brief video sums the topic up quite well, encompassing what we overall discussed all throughout the unit.             In a nutshell, the video explains how Human Resources professionals handle protected personal identifiable information, as well as private health information. In addition, it also goes over the power that these professionals may wield as they investigate employees’ conduct and even snoop around their daily activities through their corporate emails and security systems. Reflection              Upon studying the governing topic of this unit, I must say that I’ve found myself fascinated with how far people are willing to go in order to seek spiritual growth and ultimately find their true self. I was especially mesmerized with Tenzin Palmo’s story, or as she was once known, Diane Perry, and her quest for spiritual fullness.              Her journey began at the tender age of 21 in London’s East End in the 1950s. She described herself as being then, a common British young adult who was unfocused, rebellious, and quite far from any religious views or motivations. However, she soon developed an interest in Eastern religions while in college, particularly of Buddhism. Such interest had her actually embarking on a spiritual endeavor all the way to India, where she ended up meeting her guru Khamtrul Rinpoche, who later became her mentor.             ...

  Currently, it is quite common finding people trying to get a spiritual renewal it seems that our fast-paced way of living doesn't give us the time to listen to our body and have a spiritual connection with our soul. Human beings have found many different ways to achieve that connection with our inner being. People go from fasting to pilgrimage to discover the best method to get that interior renovation. Others prefer to follow religions that can fulfill their expectation and what they are seeking.   Also, it is pretty popular to appeal to ancient traditions that have proven to work when it comes to giving people that spirituality, which can lead them to a peaceful state of mind and soul. Unit 3 Shy people want more social contact, but at the same time they have a rational fear of being rejected or judged by others, which causes a lot of anxiety.

Unit 5:            Unit 5: Feng Shui: Ancient Wisdom Travels West   I've always consider Asian culture the most admirable one, for Asian people's devoutness and understanding which make them firmly obey the rules of what they believe in and do whatever it takes, so that honor, loyalty and redemption remain. Workers are often accustomed to personal privacy in their private lives, but employers aren't necessarily obligated to give workers privacy while they're on the job. Employers hire workers to perform specific tasks --- time that employees spend taking care of private matters may seem wasteful in the eyes of the employer, so employers may monitor employee activities to determine which workers are wasting time or are engaged in activities that may raise legal issues or security concerns. A personal opinion, employers should allow workers to have a good time in the middle of their work hours, as long as they do not neglect their work and protect the information that the company and the employees handle. You’re a person who wants to walk with God but you’re having a tough time. So, what do you do? Where can one start in the search for spiritual renewal? Start with the realization that spiritual renewal comes from God. Don’t seek the experience of spiritual renewal, but seek the one who renews your spirit.

Spiritual renewal refers to practices or intends to get closer to the divine practices including fasting, praying, meditating, among others. This is not a new practice, it has been among us during centuries. All religions seek spiritual renewal, but their motivations are not always the same. For example, in fasting, we find that some religions do it to get spiritual discipline (episcopalianism), some others to get away from materialism (judaism), and others do it do to preserve their ancient traditions.It does not matter the reason why we seek to be renewed spiritually, what matters is that we all have the internal need to seek it. It seems like humans beings have the necessity to connect with something greater than the self. Once a heard a very interesting phrase that said " The only one who can truly satisfy the human heart is the one who made it."        How is it impact us badly? I am not agree that the companies know about our life like puppets. It  is not good and unfair as well.  The confidence is the key of the peace in the companies. Believing that the employees are doing their jobs and working so hard in their compromises.

WORKPLACE PRIVACY  Is it spying or security? Businesses have the right to check on what employees do while using work tools or in work environment. This allows companies to protect sensitive data, create a safe work environment for employees and avoid fraud.
